Dave Steel Asheville N C Patriotic Advertising Thermometer World War II Advertising Thermometer - Dave Steel Co., Asheville, North Carolina, The Dave Organization Has Played A Vital Part In The Fabrication Of LSM (Landing Ships Medium). Thermometer is in the shape of a ships wheel and measures 10" in diameter. The housing and wheel spokes are wood, the back is protected by the original cardboard cover. The face has a glass front, the numbers are in black on a gold and steel grey background. The center features a World War II ship cargo carrier with planes flying over head and a tank coming down the ramp. Thermometer is vintage 1940s, works and is in very nice condition.

World War I Nations Peace 1914-1918 Plate Historical World War I Souvenir Dinner Plate. Plate is 9 1/4" in diameter and has a blue and red stripe around the outer edge. The center has 1914 - 1918, and 5 country flags, Italy, United Kingdom, America, France and Belgium. There is a white peace dove in the center of the flags. Below the dove is a banner with the word "PEACE". Below the banner are 2 American Flags and an American shield. Plate is marked on the back ELPCO China, Made in USA. Vintage china plate is in nice condition with minor crazing,but without any chips or cracks. The decal in the center is in very nice condition. Vintage historical plate from World War I.

The center has 1914 - 1918, and 5 country flags, Italy, United Kingdom, America, France and Belgium. There is a white peace dove in the center of the flags. Below the banner are men in uniform, dropping from the sky in parachutes, bombs exploding, guns, tanks and more. The colorful graphics are all the way around the glass, and they are in brown, green, khaki and red. Vintage glass measures 5 1/2" tall & 2 3/4" in diameter. Sheets each have 12 decals. Sheets measure 6 1/4 X 2 3/4 inches. Dated 1942, the directions are "Soak em, Slide em, Stick em". Each sheet is in a waxed sleeve. The sleeves are torn but still protect the decals. Vintage World War II era decals are in very nice condition. Price is for the set of 2 sheets

Over the top is U.S. Army in the center and an American Eagle holding the Flag and the banner "Defenders Of Our Liberty" An airplane is on each side. Around the edge are Machine Guns, Anti Tank Gun, Field Artillery, Long Range Gun, Tank, and Anti Aircraft Gun. The graphics and color are exceptional. This is the cleanest pillow cover ever. There are no stains or wear, just as clean as it was when new. It was stored in a trunk for all these years. Pillow cover has fringe and measures 16" square. Fringe and back are pink. Vintage pillow is in excellent condition, front and back. A pleasing collectible of World War II.

Military World War II Tablecover and Napkins Homefront Patriotic Military Victory Tablecloth and Napkins - "Philippines To My Wife - Fear not for the day is not far when by God's will, I'll be Home and be with you forever. Your Husband overseas 1945". Table cover is yellow with fringe and measures 28 1/2 X 32". There are 4 napkins that are hand sewn to the table cover. They have the plans and ships and look like they measure about 12" square. Fabric has an open weave and feels like soft burlap. The table cover is hand painted with the verse in navy blue, ships in dark pink and planes in a lighter blue. The table cover was made in the Philippines and brought home by a soldier to his wife. Table cover is vintage 1945, is unused and in outstanding condition. Tablecloth is a fine example of the patriotic item made for the servicemen during World War II.

There is an bomber plane, a para-trooper, a field gun, a tank, a anti-aircraft and a machine gun around the pillow. At the bottom there is the name of the army camp, (I think) it is Camp Hyder, Arizona and the name Bill C Cunningham. The graphics and color are exceptional. Pillow cover has fringe and measures 16 inches square. Fringe and back are light blue. The front is very clean and the back has minor stains. Vintage 1940s pillow is in very nice condition. A wonderful and thoughtful collectible of World War II.

July 4th Independance Day Patriotic Holiday Postcard Holiday Postcard - 4th of July. "Still whatever fate betide us- Children of the flag are we!" Wonderful postcard has a patriotic theme in red, white and blue. There is a young boy playing his drum and a little girl playing a horn and carrying a flag. Both are marching as fireworks lay at their feet. Postcard is embossed and dates to the early 1900s. This card has wear and bends, but still a nice postcard with wonderful graphics. Unused and marked on the back- Raphael Tuck and Sons "Independece Day" Series No. 109. Printed in Saxony.
