Black Americana Uncle Sam Scrap Black Memorabilia Scrap - Black Uncle Sam and pretty girl on donkey. Nice large piece of early scrap measures 5 1/2 inches high and 5 inches wide. The scrap is embossed and has never been pasted in a scrap book. The colors are beautiful and the scrap is in very nice condition. Scrap is in great condition, no tears, rips, or missing pieces. Vintage, original very early piece of victorian black americana scrap.

Black Memorabilia Uncle Roderick's Philosophy- Black Dialect Black Americana Book- Uncle Roderick's Philosophy. Wonderful book was written by Florence Carrington Stevens, published by The J.P. Bell Company, Lynchburg, Va., copyright 1911. Dedication- "The Women of the Old South whose memories we cherish, and to those who yet remain to remind us, these verses are affectionately dedicated" "These verses were suggested by discovering the two-year-old baby of the family sharing the coarse twelve-O'clock dinner of the old gardner - The little fellow blissfully receiving food from the knife used alternately by the old man." Book contains verses written in black dialect, with wonderful illustration on most of the pages. Book cover is made of heavy stock paper, tied together with string. Front cover has a picture of Uncle Roderick, the gardener, and the 2 year baby of the family. Picture is also inside the book. Book in in very nice condition and considered to be an exceptional collectible.

Record album cover front has a a black boy eating watermellon. The holder held 4 record albums. The albums are not present. The pockets that held the albums are present and in very nice condition. Songs that were on the albums are, Strictly From Dixie, Shine, Somebody Loves Me, Way Down Yonder in New ORleans, Someone To Watch OVer Me, Embraceable You, Mound Bayou, and Georgia On My Mind. Great cover if you have the albums, or to display with your other Black Americana. Album holder is in nice condition with wear to the edge. Wonderful graphics on cover.

Aunt Jemima Advertising Sample Waffle Box Aunt Jemima Waffles Sample Box. Box is an actual box of Aunt Jemima Waffles. It measures 5 1/2 inches wide, 4 1/8 inches high and 1 1/4 inches thick. The box is cardboard, and the actual size would hold 1 or 2 waffles. The front of the box list the contents as 12 Frozen Original Waffles Ready for the Toaster, Net Weight 9 oz. Vintage box may have been part of a childrens kitchen play set. Vintage box has nice graphics of the 1950s Aunt Jemima on the front and three sides. Back has a family cooking and having waffles for breakfast. Nice condition.

Black Americana Insurance Co Calendar- M L King, JF Kennedy Black Memorabilia 1972 Calendar- Universal Life Insurance Co., Memphis, Tennessee. Calendar is complete with 4 pages (11 X 7 5/8 inches). Each page has 3 months and a picture. January - March has a picture of the Insurance Co building, April - June has Washington Square, July - August has the founders & president of the Insurance Co., October - December has Robert Kennedy, John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King pictured, with the caption "Let It Never Be Forgot". Calendar has had a few of the dates circled, but in very nice overall clean condition.

Dickie Wells Harlem's Unusual Night Club Menu Black Memorabilia Black Americana Advertising Menu- Dickie Wells Harlem's Unusual Night Club, 169 West 133rd St, New York City - Chinese and American Dishes. Menu is circa 1930-40s, Minium charge $1.50, the most expensive item on the menu is Filet Mignon at $1.75. Dickie Wells was a black trombonist, who often played with Count Basie in the 1930-40s. Menu is 10 X 6 inches and opens up with the food list inside. Brown age staining on covers and in very nice condition.

Black Americana Electric Co. Facts About Nutrition Black Memorabilia 1942 Electric bill from Appalachian Electric Power Company, Roanoke, Va. The bill stub is postmarked 1942- Roanoke Va, it has a black man wearing a bellhops uniform & hat. His hat is marked "ELEC". The bill is for September 1942 and the amount was $3.80. One-third of the postcard size bill has been cut off, the electric company may have removed part of it when you paid your bill. The remaining portion is in very good to excellent condition.
